The uninstall function does not work! How can I uninstall MAP manually?
- Quit MS Outlook and Mail Archive Pro and uninstall MAP using the Add/Remove Programs tool that you can find in the MS Windows Control Panel
- Using the Windows Explorer, locate the folder MAPOLE which is a subfolder in your Windows directory (for example: C:\Windows\MAPOLE). Delete the MAPOLE folder and all files in it
- Locate and delete the complete folder \OOTP Developments\Mail Archive Pro which is installed in your programs directory (for example C:\Program Files\OOTP Developments\Mail Archive Pro)
- Run Windows regedit.exe: in MS Windows click "Start", then "Run", type "regedit" and click on "OK". Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / OOTP Developments. Delete the branch "MailArchivePro"
- Stop the Microsoft Indexing Service and delete the catalog: right-click on the "My Computer" link and choose "Manage". In Computer Management open "Services and Applications" and then "Indexing Service". Right-click on Indexing Service and choose "Stop". Then delete the catalog "MailArchivePro". When this is done right-click Indexing Service and choose "Start".
- Until now you have not yet deleted your database (map.mdb) and your documents located in //Application Data/OOTP Developments/Mail Archive Pro, because you might want to keep them. If you install MAP again it will automatically use the existing database. To delete the existing database with all the saved emails and attachments, simple delete this folder
- Restart your computer - MAP is now completely uninstalled
