The fulltext-search doesn't find mails which are added lately, it needs some hours until they are found. What's that?
By default the MS Indexing Service only works when the computer is idle, i.e. only when you're not using keyboard or mouse for some time. You should change this to have new mails and other new documents available in your fulltext index immediately after saving them. Do the following to tune the Indexing Service:
- Open the "Computer Management" console by navigating to Settings/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Computer Management. Then open the "Services And Applications" branch and click on "Indexing Service".
- Right-click on "Indexing Service" and choose "All Tasks"/"Tune Performance"
- Select the option "Customize" and click on the button "Customize..."
- Move the upper slide to the right ("Instant") and the lower slide to the left ("Low Load"):
- Reboot the computer
After making these changes, the Index Service will index new mails immediately after moving or copying them to MAP!
